SIR TIMOTHY ACKROYD AND DUDLEY SUTTON IN CONVERSATION. 28 MARCH

A rare opportunity to see what happens when two of Britain’s most celebrated and eccentric actors are reunited at the Idler Academy. Having first appeared on stage together in Peter O’Toole’s landmark production of Macbeth in 1980 at the Old Vic, they have gone on to great success on stage, television and film.

Join them for what promises to be an evening full of laughter, anecdotes, poetry and song.

Dudley Sutton (pictured left) has a career spanning five decades. His theatre credits include the title role in the first production of Joe Orton’s Entertaining Mr Sloane (1963) his film roles includeThe Devils (1971) and Fellini’s Casanova (1976), and he is best known to British television audiences for playing Tinker Dill in the popular television series Lovejoy. Below you can see him performing a beautiful poem in praise of the public lavatory.
